Way before I studied the cards, I studied Numerology. I enjoyed that it was number based. In Numerology, your name will give you a lifepath number. Your numerology can change too based on who you are with. If you parents call you by your formal name but you have a nickname with your friends, your number will change based on who you are with, and that tells you something about the way you shine outwardly with different people.
Now, for Cardology, I am not completely sold on this, I thought it would be a fun exercise. Perhaps you all have some better insight with this? I know some Cardologers do practice this, so I am interested to hear what you think
Step 1
To find your name’s Birth card, first you are going to assign each letter a number, starting with A = 1, and Z = 26.
Example name: Julie = 10 + 21 + 12 + 9 + 5 = 57
Step 2
If you go over the number 52, then you subtract 52 from your total until you are at 52 or lower.
So for Julie, we get 57-52 = 5. The Solar value of 5 = the 5 of Hearts.
As a 5 of Hearts she would be here to explore new ways of love, would be very freedom oriented and seek new experiences. She may have emotional restlessness too as this card leaves the stability of the four to gain new experiences. People who call her Julie may see her shine this kind of energy.
Let’s say she changed her name to Cheli. What does this do for her?
Cheli = 3 + 8 + 5 + 12 + 9 = 37.
37 = The Jack of Diamonds. As a Jack of Diamonds, she would be seen as the Jack of all Trades. She would show very creative and freedom loving energy that can bring forth something of material value and would be a self-reliant creative generator. Those who call her Cheli may see her more in this light.
The Solar Value Table is below.
Have you used this approach at all? Compared to your birthdate, it does seem like we are getting into the weeds using this approach. However, I did find it interesting!
Let me know in the comments.

5 of clubs! 😎
I'm so obsessed with this now. I just ran the numbers for my friend Laura, and her name equals 17, or the 4♣️, and interestingly, that is also her decanate ruling card!
