This is part 2 of “Take Care of Maya” where I’ll go through Beata Kowalski’s (Maya’s Mom) cards.
Beata Kowalski was a Pisces Ace of Diamonds/5 of Diamonds.
As an Ace of Diamonds, Beata was here to bring forth something of material value out of nothing. They have a super strong Aries quality to them that is going to bring a lot of passion to the things they do. They also have this Neptune quality to them that will bring a lack of boundaries with people. When we think of the Ace, we think of a race horse that just goes and goes. If you watched the Netflix series, I think you could see some of these qualities in Beata from how she took detailed notes on everything to how she communicated with the medical staff at all Children’s Hospital.
Aces have an issue in which they are an Ace, they are somewhat predisposed to being selfish because their goal in life is to find their self-worth (diamonds), or to love themselves (Hearts), etc. So, their karma in this life is usually a 2, which means to partner and cooperate. They struggle in this area as a result of being an Ace.
Their positive Karma in life is the Ace of Hearts, which allows these people to feel comfortable alone and can walk away from things. There is a part of them that no one can reach cause they are comfortable with themselves.
The 5 of Diamonds is going to bring to Beata this strong desire for freedom. Whenever we look at a 5, we must first understand they will make decisions based on keeping their freedom. 5s are restless, always spinning, impulsive, and endlessly searching. As reported by the Netflix doc, Beata was always restlessly researching new treatments, drugs for Maya. The 5s will also explore new things, but never quite be satisfied, making them look for the next thing.
Beata was also a nurse and many of these 5 of Diamonds end up in care taking roles due to them being in the Neptune Column of the Grand Solar spread. She is a Pisces as well, and this is the sign of the nurse and caretaker, so it is not surprising that she was so passionate about taking care of Maya.
Another interesting thing about the 5s is that many of them have authority issues. Authority can present itself to these people as being too restrictive, or too structured. For a 5, they are seeking to expand themselves out of the box of structure, not stay inside it. So oftentimes, these people struggle with any type of authority that would restrict their freedom. It was eating her up that she could not see Maya and she definitely had a rocky relationship with the staff in Authority at the hospital. The staff to her represented an attack on her freedom and by committing suicide it’s almost like she found freedom that way.
For the 5 of Diamonds, their 9 of Diamonds 1st Karma card makes it’s very difficult for them to let go of things. 9s represent endings, and disappointments. These people can be whiny victims, climbing down into their own hell. They place high demands, and always want more. Many of their demands are unreasonable too, but they would never see it that way. They need to turn away from the powerless victim story and take full responsibility for the patterns in their life. When they do this, they achieve great success. Some of the great self help professionals are 9 of Diamonds, as well as former presidents. So there is this symbolism that you can climb up the ladder to heaven to play this 9 the right way.
