Self Transformed Card

cardpsychology.substack.com

There are 13 Cards in each suit, 13 weeks in each season and 13 new moons each year. We also have 13 cards in our life spread. This is represented by our Birth card, plus 12 other cards. This also reminds me of Jesus and the 12 Disciples or King Arthur and the 12 Knights of the Roundtable.

If you look to the 13th Card in your spread, you will find your King Card or your Self-Transformed card. This card is an example for you to follow. The people who have this card in your spread will play a special role in your life and best model for you the path of your own greatness. Often times you even end up with this person after you have gone through all of your lessons the other cards offered you.

In a way, this card is a card of transformation and a symbol for what we are to become after having completed our life cycle. This takes great study and in our life spread represents the ultimate destination of our life. In our yearly spread, it’s the ultimate destination for our year.

An Example

As a 2 of Spades, my King Card is the 5 of Clubs. This card is the model for me to achieve success in this life. This 5 of Clubs person would also be really positive for me.

The 5 of Clubs represents a cross, or an X. X marks the spot on the map, and thinking outside of the box is part of what makes this card great. This is an adventure of the mind card as the 5 is mentally restless, it always keeps us moving toward finding that treasure. This mental dissatisfaction can actually open up your horizons and open up your way of thinking and communicating. They are engaging, clever, curious and open minded.

Generally, when we see a 5 of Clubs in our spread, or even meet a 5 of Clubs, it is a good sign that you are ready for change in your life. It can mean you spent a lot of time playing it safe mentally, boxing yourself in with certain ideals (the way a 4 of clubs might) and it is now time to move on. It’s almost like an upgrade to your thoughts, beliefs, ideas, point of views and communication styles.

In the end, achieving the transformation of the 5 of Clubs means you are stepping away from the known, into the unknown and leaving the security of the past behind. For a 2 card, this stepping into the unknown is a major step in achieving their full potential.

First, all 2’s are known as fear cards, so there is some mental fear present. Then, you have the Karma of the 2 of Spades which is the 6 of Spades, which often finds itself in long ruts, and unable to step outside of their current situation and make progress. The 6 is a steady influence, but sometimes, the 6 of Spades (the most powerful of the 6s) is too steady of an influence, and this makes for slow change. This is where the 5 of Clubs Transformed Self really helps the 2 of Spades achieve its highest potential.
