Using the cards, you can get a reading for your pet. I have found it helpful to look at their cards during the yearly period to discover health or wellness issues. I also found that looking through yearly and weekly spreads will help you in determining which periods and days are good for surgery.
For example, with a dog, understanding their weekly spread and planetary periods can help you to properly exercise your dog if you are doing performance or police dog work. These types of dogs have a strenuous physical fitness schedules, and knowing when they will be at their strongest and weakest is helpful for preventing injury.
To a certain extent, understanding if your pet is a heart, club, diamond or spade would give you an idea about their primary motivation and purpose in this life when tied to the number on their card. I personally have a Leo 3 of Diamonds Dog that has a laser focus around anything that has to do with a physical thing like sticks, toys or anything mimicking a rodents movement. Diamonds rule acquisition of things, and values, and his 3 of Diamonds is perfectly lined up in one direction giving him no indecision in regards to how he should be living his life.
Understanding what your pet was bred to do will also help give you some additional context to your pet playing their cards right. So you can look at your Breed + Suit + Number to get an understanding of how to bring fulfillment to your pet.
Recently I was looking to schedule a surgery for my dog. It was not life threatening but I wanted to take a look at his cards.
I realized that the dates for surgery given were mostly in his Jupiter period but there were also some in his Saturn period. I wanted to stay clear of Saturn as it can make things difficult for us, and picked a date in Jupiter.
You can also see that he had fantastic cards in his Jupiter period. Both diamonds, which represent the physical body. The 10 of Diamonds represents success and the 7 of Diamonds in Jupiter is the millionaires card or the card that overcomes fears.
Although Saturn days are good days for going to the Dentist (Saturn rules bone structure), I wanted to look for a Venus, Mars or Jupiter Period for him.
His surgery was a success, he barely needed more than 12 hours for his recovery and his two week follow up was even better.
When I looked at his Pluto/Result Combination of the Queen of Clubs/King of Clubs, it just added confidence in the decision that not too much could go wrong.
Your Pet’s Life Path
Each pet has a 13 Card life path. As pet’s generally age at a quicker rate, you may have some math involved in determining the exact dates of their planetary periods, but the lifelong impact those periods have still exist on a daily basis. For example, the 13 Card Life Path of a 3 of Diamonds is below.
The 3 of Diamonds is the most challenged of all the 3s, especially in terms of relationships. My dog initially was abandoned by his first family and with a 7 of Hearts in Venus, you could see that he would have issues with abandonment. Not only did he get abandoned he goes through the highs and lows of the 7 of Hearts when we leave and come back home.
I also laugh at the fact that he has the Ace of Spades in Mercury, which could make you scared to death of things, which he always has been. It makes these cards workaholics too which is very representative of his desire to always work and have a single (Ace) focus.
He has a 5 of Spades in Jupiter for his lifetime that confirms for me that he was made to travel. He has always benefited from travel. When I adopted him without ever meeting him, I flew him from LAX to NYC. I would say instantly his life improved for the better versus being in a shelter. Additionally, he has always been a great traveler and loves trips and the destinations. The 5 of Spades in Jupiter tells us that travel expands us and we benefit from it.
I think the interpretations for pets take a little more creativity and context, but it can be done to give us some clues about their overall health and satisfaction.
The Suits
This section is more for fun, but when we understand the pet’s breed + their cards, it can give you greater insight into providing a life of fulfillment for your pet. This is part speculation on my part, let me know in the comments what you think.
Hearts
Hearts are sometimes indulgent and lazy. They may have emotional issues and relate through their feelings. They will probably be very good with kids since hearts represent the child of the suits, and childhood. Hearts may respond more to touch and positive reinforcement. They may treat cuddling and petting as a treat. They probably do like their fair share of food treats too.
Clubs
Clubs are mind driven and love to learn. They seek perfection through learning. They have good communication skills and are very detail oriented. They are also super intuitive. These pets probably rely on mental stimulation type of activities such as doing scent work for dogs, or tricks for any type of pet in general. I would imagine these are the type of dogs that can do special tricks as they always want to learn things like agility training and AKC Obedience contests.
Diamonds
Diamonds like to acquire things as it helps them define their self-worth. Diamonds represent the physical body, our gut feelings. They are adults of the spread. Even younger ones may act like adults. They like to collect things. These remind me of the hunters, whether they are dogs or cats, being able to fulfil their instincts (Diamonds rule gut instincts) will make them very happy. I would think these animals are much more play or prey driven as well.
Spades
Spades are the workers of the deck. They are the most powerful and are very disciplined. They may only focus on work and are very willful. They are hard to control. Relationships take a hit because of their desire to work. However, you may get some old soul service animals that understand their role to serve and always work. You may also get animals that protect livestock or serve as protection for police. They don’t need much from others in terms of relationships, they feel most fulfilled always working.
~ Card Psychology
I had an 8 of Diamonds / 5 of clubs dog who collected bricks and would always run away in the night.
The latest dog is 5 of clubs / ace of spades. I share a planetary ruler with him and I feel soooo connected to him. He's a good traveler too, unlike the jack of hearts dog who was always sick but who did such incredible healing work on my Mum.
my sister has a 9 of clubs Leo who won't stop humping 😆
