Michael Jordan's Life Spread

I wanted to take a look at MJs spreads during the defining moments of his career.

First of all, MJ started a 7 year cycle on 2/17/1991 with the 10 of Spades (success of work) and 5 of Spades (new lifestyle, travel for work) as his long range cards. The long range cards are like your goals for whatever time period you are looking at.

Michael Jordan’s 7 Year Spread from 1991-1997

I think when looking at his 7 year spread, it’s interesting to point out that his Jupiter year started in 1994 and that is the year he went to play baseball. He had great cards, two 10s and two Queens. In his eyes, this was probably a very successful year!

Also, he won his first and his last championship in his Mercury year. His last year, he definitely spoke about using his mind more than his physical gifts. He was blessed with three Queens and an 8 of Hearts in Mercury in 1998. Queens are all about internal or self mastery. 8 of Hearts do well socially and can weave a group together for dominance and healing.

When you dive into the NBA season, the playoffs start in April and end in June. For MJ, that meant that meant that during the playoffs he was in his Venus and Mars 52 day planetary periods. He never had to compete during his Saturn period (typically the hardest challenge of your year) which would occur from 9/13-11/4 each year. We are physically very strong during our Mars period and our Venus period usually is a supportive period for the most part.

In 1991, MJ had a 10 of Hearts in his Mars period, starting 6/1/1991, which would give him social success with men or in matters that deal with men. But what I find more interesting is he had the millionaire’s card in his Jupiter period that year, the 7 of Diamonds. You would assume some business success here. It was paired with the 9 of Hearts in Jupiter which is called the “wish” card. So he definitely got his wish of winning the NBA finals for the first time.

The image below is MJs 1993 Spread. Remember he retired for the first time in 1993. In his Mars period, he played a 9 of Diamonds with a 2 of Spades. 9 of Diamonds is often seen as a card of endings. It is an ending of something valued, and when paired with a 2 of Spades (work partnerships), it means an ending of work that was valued. He formally retired on October 6, 1993 but has said very often he thought that he knew in June of 1993 that he had played his last game.

On March 18th, 1995 MJ announced to the world that he was back. When you drill down to the weekly timeframe, you can see his cards on March 18th were in Neptune, a 2 of Hearts/King of Spades and an Ace of Spades. The Ace of Spades would represent a secret journey or the start of a new job. The King of Spades is the strongest card in the deck, which would give him success in anything he wanted to be successful in.

One more thing to note is that 3 times he had the 10 of Hearts in either his Venus or Mars Period when winning the NBA Finals. 1991, 1996 and 1998. 10s are success cards, and pair it with the suit to find out what they are successful with. 10s get what they want, they just instinctively know how to do do that. For MJ, it was the 10 of Hearts, he got what he wanted in his heart, to win the title.

The 10 of Hearts also represents success with groups of people. It gives you fame and recognition. If you look at the 10 of Hearts Card, these people are definitely in the middle of it all, like a fishbowl (blue dot).

Spiritually, the 10 of hearts is a double mars influence in the life spread. It is a Jupiter/Mars influence and in the current life spread and it is a Venus/Mars influence in the past life. The double Mars influence often would cause the 10 of Hearts to be more like a 6 of Hearts - very competitive with anger issues. However, with the Jupiter and Venus influence on Mars, we are benefited for being passionate and competitive. And lastly, remember he had this card in his Venus and mars periods while competing for the NBA finals, so it’s as if he had a triple Mars influence. And if you will recall, we are at our strongest (physically) and most competitive during our Mars period so it is no wonder that other teams were up against a formidable opponent in MJ and the Bulls.
