Matchmaking for a Double King

cardpsychology.substack.com

The cards are wonderful at understanding how compatible you can be with your partner as well as how your energies will show up in the relationship. I wanted to look at love for the Kings, specifically the King of Hearts and Diamonds. The King of Clubs does well in a relationship as its Venus card is the 4 of Hearts, the satisfaction at home card. Additionally, the King of Spades is often not fit for a relationship as it mentalizes love with its indecisive 3 of Hearts Mercury card as well as a 7 of Hearts Pluto card that speaks to their fear of abandonment.

The Kings are the last card in each suit. The Kings have passed through every number before them which gives them wisdom and experience. They are the number 13 which translates to 1+3 = 4. Four is the number of the home, or of a community and their big focus is on using their power responsibly as it relates to their suit to help their specific kingdom.

Kings are natural born leaders, so they must not shy away from natural inclination to lead. For King of Hearts, that means leading with their heart and being charming and intelligent. For Clubs, they lead through mental power. For Diamonds, they lead in business, sometimes ruthlessly. And for Spades, they lead with their will and inner wisdom, they can never be swayed.

A woman that is a King occurs too. Women like Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Janet Jackson and Queen Elizabeth II have a King as one of their birth cards. The women often times have the added burden of balancing their male and female sides in personal relationships, often taking a lifetime to master.

King of Hearts

Take a look at the King of Hearts Card, he is holding a knife to his head. The first thing that you want to note for a King of Hearts is that they can have impulsive outbursts that end up stabbing themselves in the head or back. They lead from the heart and can sometimes become an emotional tyrant if they are misusing their power.

The King of Hearts make great parents, but not always the greatest spouse! This is because this is technically a “father card” that cares for his kids and his profession. His devotion to both kids and career leaves little love to be passed to his spouse. When you have a female King of Hearts, you find a woman that serves both the mother and father role, and doesn’t really need the man around!

Male King of Hearts have been said to be great fathers but lousy husbands. They often times do not get married yet have a circle of women around them. This does not have to be a romantic circle either. But it could be a harem of students, aunts, mothers, or any casual associate. They usually have some group of female admirers around them.

The female King of Hearts has a problem in that they are so headstrong and powerful that they can and will stand up to any man they meet, and they insist on being the leader or head of household, which is difficult for some male partners to deal with. They also have a very argumentative nature which makes them harder to deal with. These women have a strong sense of justice when it comes to relationships and will often stand up for those who have been wronged in their mind.

For our Female King of Hearts, it is best for them to avoid men of the Spade suit. Spades are the most mature suit in the deck, and oftentimes are very willful. They make good marriages with Diamond males, especially if they are more mature and responsible.

For male Kings, they should be careful with Diamonds females. These females like them, but it is wise for them to avoid this suit.

A King of Hearts Story: Jackie Kennedy

As I previously mentioned, Jackie Kennedy was a King of Hearts with a 2 of Clubs Karma Card. So as a King of Hearts, she ruled with her charm and style, and she captured the hearts of Americans. JFK was a 3 of Clubs Birth Card. So, even though Jackie was a King of Hearts female, she had a 2 of Clubs Karma that made her Moon to JFK’s 3 of Clubs which allows him to still be the leader. When I meet female Kings, I always tell them their match will be with whoever they are moon to.

Once JFK was killed, Jackie actually stepped into her full King of Hearts role, being the father and the mother for her children.

In conclusion, if you are a King of Hearts Female, check out your Karma cards and your other birth card to see who you are moon to. It might give you good clues as to who your match will be.

King of Diamonds

The first thing to notice about our King of Diamonds is that he is the only one-eyed King in the deck. This can blind them to certain aspects of life or situations. It is important for these Kings to understand they have hidden blind spots that make them extremely stubborn, and hence only see things from their side. In fact, many make enemies with others for this very reason.

These Kings are always successful in business. They are meant to lead their own business as opposed to working for others. They understand value, and when they follow this knowledge instead of their fears, they are very respectable business people.

In relationships remember that Kings are powerful

The King of Diamonds has a neutral love Karma but since they are a powerful King, they usually are unwilling to compromise, which can cause relationship problems. Like the King of Hearts female, the female King of Diamonds must find a way to balance their strong masculine side in the context of a relationship. They tend to want to dominate, and some men don’t want to deal with this power.

How the King of Diamonds creates enemies

As I wrote before, the King of Diamonds is the only King that is “one-eyed”. This sets them up to have blind spots that has them only seeing the world from their point of view. It’s one way, and it’s their way. Many have a Mercury/Moon aspect in their natal chart that makes them more subjective in their thinking. This thinking again blinds them to other view points and causes them to attach themselves to ideas and beliefs that may not be true. Give this subjective reasoning to a King with a ton of pride that wants to get their way and you may end up with a tyrant.

This subjective mentality also makes them believe they are always right in their bias when in fact their conclusions are usually based on emotional needs that have not been fulfilled from childhood. Additionally, this is a card that does not back down from confrontation and they seem to have no problem creating conflict with others and attracting situations where others feel their fighting presence.

Final notes for the King of Diamonds

For both males and females, it’s important they keep finances and relationships separate. Some may view a relationship only in financial terms, but instead they must focus on learning to express their fears and emotions to have better luck in marriage.

King of Diamonds females have strong compatibility with Heart Males. King of Diamond Males have strong ties with diamond females and should avoid Spades females.
