Hey everyone! Thanks to all those that just joined, I appreciate you!
One of the first things I look at when going through someone’s card is the meaning behind their card’s symbology. It was believed that the deck of cards was actually a book without a binding. This book provided information to us about ourselves, and it was handed down through the ages hidden in plain sight on playing cards. One theory is that when information is hidden in plain sight like a deck of cards, it is able to escape censorship or book burning.
So, we can look at a deck of cards and just understand a lot of what that card has to offer based on their numerology and suit. Then when we look at where this cards stands in the Grand Solar Spread, we can take a walk down its lifepath and understand all of the planetary influences on this card over the years.
I wanted to start with the Ace, 2, 3 & 4. I will do the other cards in subsequent posts.
Ace
The Ace is represented by the number 1. Any Ace is going to have issues around selfishness and their needs versus the needs of others. They just can not help thinking about themselves, they are a 1, they think “me” first and they think they are the ones that created or initiated things, even if they did not.
Any Ace is going to have a lot of Aries energy, the first sign of the Zodiac. Their goal in this life is to initiate and complete whatever their suits calls for. They are here to gain confidence and overcome their insecurity. Since they are an Ace, they are new to this life spread in a way, and they have a lot of confidence issues that need to be overcome. They just can not help but be self-absorbed as life is for them to learn about themselves. Aces are like a racehorse, you can set them lose and they have firepower.
Ultimately, they are supposed to bring to us something out of nothing, like the big bang theory. There was nothing, now they have brought forth something that didn’t exist.
When you look at an Ace card, or if you have an Ace card in your spread, remember they are the number 1, and there is time spent alone here, and their worldview comes from this.
Two
As the Ace thinks for themselves, the two’s think for the partnership. They have issues around co-dependency, being too mental, or being insecure in relationships. Some of them also chose bad partners because they are disconnected from their feelings, and they don’t want to be alone.
Two’s are the team player who comes here to unite and connect. They create harmony and balance. The space in-between is where the magic happens below. This is when a two becomes interdependent - not too close, not too far, just the perfect amount of space.
The two is here to create synergy between both pips in the area of the suit on their card. They are smart cards that can become too mental, but for the most part have a very good life path being an even number.
Three
Any three person is going to have issues of uncertainty as it applies to their suit. The 3 of Hearts will be uncertain in love, and can be in-between two lovers. They can also be bi-sexual. The 3 of Clubs will have anxiety over their thoughts, and go back and forth on what they think. The 3 of Diamonds will have financial insecurity. The 3 of Spades will be in-between two jobs.
The goal for any 3 is to line up their pips in the same direction like a compass pointing north. Notice that two pips are facing a different direction than the third pip.
The aim of the 3 is to use their creative talents and express themselves in ways that help them to improve. The 3 is the artist, the creator, they need that outlet to express and try things out. Once they experiment, they can line up their heart (hearts), mind (clubs), gut instincts (Diamonds) or consciousness/jobs (Spades) to understand the straight line path they should take.
For the 3 of Hearts, this would mean listening to your heart, and lining it up with how you feel versus how you think. The 3 gets into trouble because 3 is a Gemini number and they tend to be very mind driven, complicating the journey of the 3. This thinking alone can create anxiety around their suit. The end goal here is to find your compass or antenna for direction in life by expressing yourself.
Four
When we think of the Four, we think of a strong and solid structure. They are the guards, and they are strong. Any 4 will come into this life having issues around security. They make decisions based on security and keep themselves safe in the solid box they have built for themselves.
That box can be a safe space for feelings (hearts), thoughts (clubs), physical expressions (Diamonds) or Conscious living (Spades), but it can also be a very stifling environment if they are stuck thinking inside the box.
Fours are strong, they are great builders, have terrific organizational ability and are very grounded/stubborn. There is a lot of Virgo/Cancer energy here representing the home and marriage. On the flip side, the 4’s are here to work hard, and step outside of their comfort zone a little bit. Interestingly, the 4 of Clubs and 4 of Diamonds have 5’s as their first karma card. This tells us they are here in this life to figure out how to expand and adventure a bit, meaning they have to step outside of the comfort of the safe box they have built.
The four of Spades has a 10 of Clubs as its first karma card. In some ways, this is a double 5, especially when you look at it symbology which will appear as two X’s. The four of Hearts has the 4 of Spades as its first Karma card, which gives them even a more fixed and stubborn mindset that they need to work through in this life to expand and develop.
