2 of Spades Week!
This week we play this 2 of Spades! This is my Birth card so I’m going to write a bit more from my personal experiences regarding this week.
First of all, the 2 of Spades is found in the Neptune Row and the Mars Column. There is some dreaming or idealism about their purpose that happens and they can be successful when they partner with others to fulfill their purpose or goals.
They are also known as the Aquarian card of the deck or the friendship card of the deck because they sit in the Uranus/Uranus position in the past life spread. Uranus rules Aquarius and groups so we get a double influence there.
Their Mars card and 1st Karma card is the 6 of Spades. This is an interesting combination which gives them a passion (Mars) for taking responsibility of their health, consciousness, dreams, or lifestyle. The challenge with the 6 of Spades as a Karma card is that you have the Health Karma card as your very own Karma which gives immediate negative consequences if you are not being responsible with your health. For a spade this can show up as overworking which negatively impacts your health. As a Neptune line card, it can show up as engaging in too many drugs or alcohol with immediate negative impact.
Another issue with any 6 is that they can be slow to start or can get into ruts. It might take them a long time to get going as the 6 is a very steady and monotonous energy. So it’s interesting to me that the 2 of Spades has this 6 of Spades in their Lifetime Mars position. Mars rules ambition, energy and passion, but for the 2 of Spades they need to try to tap into this Mars influence and get it going sooner than later. They could spend a lot of time waiting.
On the high side, what you put in is what you get with Karma and taking responsibility and balancing our lifestyle proves to give pretty good immediate results too! A lot of times this looks like a very disciplined and structured approach to our health and lifestyle. Examples include eating more balanced, not overworking, not over socializing, getting enough sleep, etc. Other Birth cards are able to get by not doing this, but not the 2 of Spades.
The invitation this week is for us to partner with others. Any 2 is focused on partnership and Spades can symbolize work, health or consciousness. This is a good week to meet with others and team up for a shared goal you are passionate about. These are conscious connections! Our challenge is to make sure we work interdependently and do not become overly reliant on the partnership. The magic for any 2 happens in the middle when both people meet in the middle.
